Every day we awaken to a world filled with opposites.
Barbara Brown Taylor writes that many of our faith traditions place life into opposing pairs: good/evil, church/world, spirit/flesh, sacred/profane and light/dark. In each pair, it is easy to see which half is set higher and which is set lower.
We invite you to a six-part series -- "Nothing is as certain as it seems...". We will reflect on these opposites throughout life’s journey. What have we been taught about them? How does the tension of opposites inform our daily living, our spiritual life, or who we recognize as neighbors?
We will be using the book, Learning to Walk in the Dark, by Barbara Brown Taylor as a starting point for this conversation. If you are able, read it or re-read it but this is not a requirement. The class will be designed to welcome you whenever you can join us.
“Nothing is as certain as it seems…” will begin Sunday, February 21 @7pm as a Zoom gathering. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Carrie Craig at lilly031@gmail.com OR Jeff Costa at costa.jeff@gmail.com
