Music is a big part of Inclusion Community.

Our Gatherings always utilize the power of song, the kind that invites you in, opens your heart, and reminds you that you belong.

Welcome to This Circle

Music and lyrics by Trish Bruxvoort Cooligan of The River’s Voice

Welcome to this circle where love and grace abound.
We honor your journey, and wherever you are bound.
We will walk beside you, encourage you on your way
Celebrate your spirit, and hold you as we pray.

There is love for one like you.
There is grace enough to see you though.
And wherever you have walked, whatever path you choose,
May you know there is love for one like you.

And wherever you have walked, whatever path you choose,
May you know there is love for one like you.

Crowded Table

Crowded Table is a song recorded by American country music supergroup The Highwomen. It was co-written by group members Brandi Carlile and Natalie Hemby, and singer-songwriter Lori McKenna.

You can hold my hand when you need to let go
I can be your mountain when you're feeling valley-low
I can be your streetlight showing you the way home
You can hold my hand when you need to let go

I want a house with a crowded table
And a place by the fire for everyone
Let's take on the world while we're young and able
And bring us back together when the day is done

If we want a garden, we're gonna have to sow the seed
Plant a little happiness, let the roots run deep
If it's love that we give then it's love that we reap
If we want a garden, we're gonna have to sow the seed

Yeah, I want a house with a crowded table
And a place by the fire for everyone
Let us take on the world while we're young and able
And bring us back together when the day is done

The door is always open
Your picture's on my wall
Everyone's a little broken
And everyone belongs
Yeah, everyone belongs

I want a house with a crowded table
And a place by the fire for everyone
Let us take on the world while we're young and able
And bring us back together when the day is done
And bring us back together when the day is done

Our Gatherings are often led with live guitar or keyboard, and music is meant to be experienced together. We sing as a community, no performance, no audience, just voices joining in the circle.

There are two very special songs that have become the soul of who we are. Welcome to This Circle and Crowded Table are songs that speak to belonging, welcome, and the sacred space we share. They are our homecoming songs, our touchstones, the musical heartbeat of Inclusion. Lyrics to both are listed below!

Beyond our staples, our music spans the full breadth of the human experience. On any given Sunday, you might lift your voice to the Beatles or feel the gritty grace of Bruce Springsteen. You might find the divine in the anthems of Lady Gaga or the bold, liberating energy of Kesha. We draw from wherever truth lives, in classic rock, pop, folk, and beyond. We choose songs that speak to the theme and spirit of each Gathering.

Our approach is intentionally spiritual but not narrowly so. We believe the sacred shows up in all kinds of music, and that a song doesn't need to be labeled "religious" to move the soul, tell the truth, or bring people together. Every song we choose is selected with care and purpose — to open a door, carry a message, or simply remind you: you are welcome here, exactly as you are.
