Small Group

Sundays, 10:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

The Inclusion Community Gathering at “The Hut,” on Church Street, directly behind Cornelius Presbyterian Church.
21209 Catawba Avenue, Cornelius.

All are welcome to join each Sunday for community conversation and spiritual growth.

In 1998 Episcopal Bishop John Shelby Spong authored a book provocatively entitled: Why Christianity Must Change or Die. Nearly twenty years later, one of his daughters (the possessor of a Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford University), remarked to him: “Dad, the questions the church spends its time answering are not questions we even ask anymore!” (emphasis added). Is Christianity changing or dying?

Come join us in a ten-week video- and discussion- based series in which we explore what role “progressive Christianity” might play in identifying and addressing meaningful questions that Christians (and the Christian Church) should be asking themselves/itself in the 21st century; for as Bishop Spong muses elsewhere: “The heart will not long worship what the mind rejects.” No advance preparation needed; only an open mind and an open heart!
